The Blue and Whites, with 10 points and in 22nd place in the standings, face this rival with 16 points and in 16th place.

The match will be officiated by Mateo Busquets Ferrer. This Balearics-born ref is making his debut in the division and will officiate Málaga CF for the first time. He has refereed seven games, ending in four local wins and three draws in the Second Division. Heading up the VAR is Iñaki Vicandi Garrido from the Basque Country.
