On 12th February 2000, Málaga CF visited the Santiago Bernabéu for the first time, under this denomination. Historical review of Chamartín
On 15th May 1946, marking the closure of the old Chamartín stadium, Real Madrid and CD Málaga took part in a friendly, the last match at this ground. The result was 4-5 to the Malaguistas, with the legendary Antonio Iznata ‘Chales’ forming a line-up made up of: Mendaro (Lareu); Jimeno, Soler, Paquirrini (Junco), García, Lecue, Casanova, Teo, Maciá, Lezama and Emilio.
