Malaguista striker, Youssef En-Nesyri starred in Morocco’s win over Togo in the Africa Cup, scoring the definitive 3-1 in favour of the North African team.
As in the first Group C match of the #CAN2017, En-Nesyri again left the bench in the second half to play the last half hour between Morocco-Togo. Dossevi gave Togo an early lead (5’), but the Moroccans reacted quickly with goals from Bouhaddouz (14’) and Saiss (21’). In the final stage of the match, the young Blue and Whites’ striker sealed the deal, scoring the 3-1 in minute 72’. This is En-Nesyri’s debut goal with Morocco’s first team.
Following the Ivory Coast-DR Congo draw (2-2), Morocco and En-Nesyri are in second place in the group with 3 points, and options intact to qualify to the quarter finals. On Tuesday 24th January in Gabon, at 20:00, the decisive Morocco-Ivory Coast match will take place.
