The Municipal de Cártama will host the first of the promotion play-offs between the top scoring teams of the Women’s Second Division: Málaga CF Femenino and CD Femarguín de Arguineguín (Gran Canaria).
It has taken 26 matches in the regular league season to, at last, reach the promotion play-offs. In the month ahead, Málaga CF Femenino will attempt to achieve their second objective of the season. The feat starts today against CD Femarguín de Gran Canaria, in the first of the promotion play-offs to reach the Women’s First Division. Kick-off is at 17:00 in Cártama.
Goal-scoring duel
The two top scoring teams in the Women’s Second Division will meet for the first time this year at Estadio Municipal de Cártama. The Blue and Whites, headed up by Antonio Contreras, ended the season havingscored 129 goals, 43 of which were netted by Adriana Martín. Meanwhile, Femarguín is the highest scoring team in the Second Division with 240 goals.
The Malaguista fans, who have been behind the Málaga CF women’s team all season, will also be the stars of this high-voltage match, where the stands and the Blue and White colours will be key to kicking off the promotion play-offs in the best way possible.
