María Martí Bartis (30-06-1990 Figueres, Girona) is the new Málaga CF Femenino signing for the 2017-18 season. The player, who comes from UDG Tenerife, will reinforce the right wing of the Blue and Whites’ squad, headed up by Antonio Contreras.
National career
She began her footballing career with CF Llers, and in 2008 she wore the UE l’Estartit jersey, where she remained for five years in the First Division and two years in the Second Division. María now comes to the Costa del Sol from UDG Tenerife. She signed to the Canaries-based outfit last December, having taken part in the second round of the Liga Iberdrola. With Tenerife, she reached the semi-finals of the Copa de la Reina.
International career
In 2014, she travelled to the United States on a university sports scholarship, and once there competed in the NCAA University League with Clayton State University in Atlanta, for three seasons.
