Costa Rica were in training at La Rosaleda’s Annexe today, to begin preparations for the international friendly against Spain on Saturday (21:30) at Martiricos.

Defender, Calvo, and midfielder, Tejada spoke to the media present at the ‘Tico’ team’s session.

(Málaga and MCF) “It’s a very beautiful city, there is variety in everything and it’s a beautiful environment. The stadium is lovely, great training ground, which is what a Club like Málaga should have, competing in the best League in the world”.

(Wanchope, ex Malaguista) “He was my coach on the national team, sports manager when I played in Costa Rica, and is well-known here and all over the world. He told us about his international experience in Spain, England and in many other places across the globe”.

Yeltsin Tejada

(Sun and football) “We’ve only seen very little, but the city is beautiful, the weather is similar to our country, and there’s a great footballing atmosphere too”.

(Wanchope) “I remember when he played here, he had some great moments, scored goals and is a highly-respected person in Costa Rica. He performed well here, and now we are delighted to be here and are going to enjoy it to the max”.
