The second annual Andalucía Veterans 7-a-side Cup…and the second time the Málaga CF squad has walked away with the trophy. And coincidentally, also against the same opponent in the final, Cádiz CF.
With this triumph, the veterans of Málaga CF sealed the deal an excellent Andalucía Cup that began on Saturday with a 1-0 win against Betis, thanks to a goal by Basti. And on Sunday 13th, in the semi-finals, Almeria was waiting but that ended with a one-one draw that went to penalties. The actions of goalkeeper Pariente who stopped the shot was fundamental for the ‘malaguistas’ at this stage. Then there was the highly-anticipated final, with a Cádiz CF who were unable to overcome the Blue and Whites who managed to beat them 2-0, with Raúl Iznate the double scorer.
