Málaga CF celebrates Nursing

To mark International Nurses Day, Málaga Club de Fútbol is undertaking several initiatives to honour our nurses in the capital.

2020 has been one of the hardest years of our lives. So many people lost someone they love to COVID-19. This year, although the virus continues to be an active part of our lives, through common effort and mass vaccinations, little by little we can see an end to the pandemic that has caused so much disruption.

As such, to mark International Nurses Day, the Club wants to pay tribute to the medical sector, particularly to nurses who look after us, our families and friends.

In the lead-up to the last LaLiga SmartBank match against RCD Mallorca, the Málaga CF players wore t-shirts in support of the Official College of Nursing of Malaga with the hashtag #EnfermeríaPorMálaga.

The male first team, women’s team and Málaga Genuine are featuring in an emotional video this 12th May highlighting the tremendous work carried out by our nurses during this time. In addition, today the most iconic buildings in Málaga will be lit up, and La Rosaleda Stadium will be no exception featuring commemorative lights (22:00 – 23:00) during which we’ll remember all the applause we gave to our healthcare workers during the pandemic.

We are not alone. We are counting on you, our nurses of Málaga. Thank you, thank you, thank you for looking after us.
