Similarities with competition matches
“Now we can play full matches in training, which is the closest thing to league games and we’re playing 11-a-side. There’s more competition amongst us, which will help us to be in the best possible shape. Tomorrow we’re going to play against each other, we’re all very excited, we can’t wait. We’re all giving 100 per cent”.
Eager to play again
“We’re all very much looking forward to the ball rolling and clinching our first victory. It’s true that the matches are very close together, something we’re not used to, nor are our rivals, but we need to play the competition in the best way possible”.
Contract extension
“I want to contribute, and I told Manolo Gaspar I wanted to stay here, and that’s what’s happening. I’ll wait until this is over and see how the negotiations go. While I’m here I’ll give 100 per cent. I’m very grateful to the fans for their response. I want to stay here and do my best”.
Born a Malaguista
“I grew up in Málaga, I’m Malagueño and Malaguista. I’ve always come to La Rosaleda, I cheered on the team, collected the balls etc. I spoke to Manolo, he’s a very sincere person. The fans gave me a warm welcome, which I’m very grateful for, which is why I’m going to stay here and do the best I can”.

Message for the young players
“They must know that they have to perform as they could have an opportunity at any moment and stay here with us. The excitement, as it is with every young lad, is to debut at La Rosaleda, and to do that they need to fight and know that they could have an opportunity. They’re doing very well, and we have to look after them as if they were another member of the team”.
Decision made with the heart
“They will have seen the decision I made to stay here, finish LaLiga and I hope to be able to continue. I hope everything gets sorted out. Each player will make their own decision, but I made mine with the heart, therefore I’m staying”.
