Luis Hernández: “We must make the most of every day and every minute of training”
The Blue and Whites’ second captain spoke out this Sunday at La Rosaleda’s facilities. “The measures being undertaken are essential if we want to see football return”, he stated.
Happy to be back
“We were really looking forward to returning to training, even with the safety measures being carried out. I’m happy to see my teammates again, and the entire coaching team, and be able to train at the Club’s facilities”.
Responsibility
“It’s what we’ve all had to endure, and it’s also interesting to see that during these difficult times, everyone in society is closer. It’s good for the Málaga fans to see us in training and carrying out our daily routines. I also think it’s interesting for others who are suffering in the same way”.
Awareness and reality
“Right now, everyone has to abide by the rules and regulations. For the good of everyone they must be carried out correctly. First, for our own safety and that of our families; and then so that this problem can be resolved on a nationwide scale. We must be aware of the reality we’re living, and know that the measures being undertaken are essential if we want to see football return”.
Preparation
“Our daily routine is highly demanding, and as much as we want to maintain the level at home, it’s not the same. We have a month to prepare and be at our best for the competition, and we must make the most of every day and every minute of training to play the best match we can. We must be ready to compete from day one”.
Demanding
“These first few weeks will be fundamental for everyone as it will mark the team’s physical fitness level for the return to competition. There are 11 games remaining, so each one of us needs to do our best, individually, so we arrive at the first match in the best way possible, both physically and mentally”.
