Luis Hernández: “We had chances to take the match”

The Blue and Whites’ central defender appeared in the mixed zone to analyse the 2-2 draw at Anoeta. “I don’t score goals regularly, but above all I’m delighted with the work of the team”.

Match analysis

“We knew it’d be a very difficult game due to the level of Real Sociedad, and I think generally we did a great job. We defended very well and came out with a clear approach, and at 2-2 we had well-defined chances to take the match”.

Goal-scorer

“I’m pleased with our teamwork, it was very important today to give a good image and maintain the line we’ve been following. I’m happy I scored, it’s a pity it didn’t serve to earn the three points. I don’t score regularly, but above all I’m delighted with the work of the team and each player that went out there gave their all”.

Last LaLiga match

“Our challenge is to defend 11th position, which is what we’re going to be fighting for. It’s very important to us to end what has been such an irregular season in this position, so we’ll be competing to the max to defend it”.

Sporting de Gijón

“On a personal level, I had some wonderful times there. It’s a delicate moment for the city, and I hope things turn out well so they can return next year. Levante set the example this year, they had a very good season. It’s a shame they’re down to the Second Division, but from there they can focus on moving back up”.
