Universitas Café was born 26 years ago, under the ownership of Carlos Liger. An enterprising businessman who, with the help of his brother, has maintained and consolidated his business. “We started out in the faculty, here very close, and it went well. It has become a profession, we have other businesses which my brother and I have been growing,” he said to MCFTV, in reference to the other Universitas establishments located on Calle Ayala and in the Teatinos area.

“This neighbourhood is very Malaguista, there are loads of fans here. We’ve enjoyed some great years. It was crazy when we were in the Champions League,” said Carlos, under the watchful eye of Paco Martín Aguilar, the Club’s Protocol and Institutional Relations Adviser, who was present at the courtesy visit to the venue.
