The 3rd Andaluza Alevín team from our MCF Academy won the CSI Talent Cup, held over the weekend in Geneva (Switzerland). The team, led by José Manuel Castillejo, Mario Pérez and José Luis López won every match, and except for the quarter-final against Saint Etienne and the final against Atalanta Bergamasca, which they won on penalties, the Blue and Whites achieved solvent victories. The tournament was held in an indoor 5-a-side format on parquet. In the famous competition, world-class teams including Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus of Turin, SL Benfica, Olympique Lyonnais, and RSC Anderlecht, amongst others, took part.
Atlético Malagueño drew (1-1) in Sunday’s visit to Atarfe. Manel Ruano’s boys didn’t manage to dominate the match, which became complicated half way through the first half. In minute 27 of play, Atarfe Industrial CF took the lead thanks to Antonio López. The Malaguista reserve team was behind on the score board for most of the match, but in minute 80’, Jaime Moreno equalised with a good goal following a pass from Mauri. This draw leaves Malagueño at the top of Third Division Group 9 with 55 points, one more than Atlético Mancha Real.
