Atlético Malagueño were defeated in El Ejido (4-1) and Atlético Málaga came home from Cáceres with a point (1-1).

Manel Ruano’s boys left three points behind against a good CD El Ejido 2012 at the Santo Domingo municipal stadium (4-1). The match soon took a wrong turn for Atlético Malagueño, as the local side scored two goals in five minutes (3’ and 8’). The ‘Malaguistas’ couldn’t overcome the rival, as nearly everything was going right for them at their home ground. The second half had barely got underway when the Almería side scored their third goal (47’), however three minutes later (50’), Malagueño got on the scoreboard with a great goal from Iván. Now 3-1 down, the visitors tried their best to react. However, El Ejido sealed their victory with a fourth goal in minute 81’. Malagueño missed out on a chance to further increase their lead, but they are still in the top spot of Third Division Group 9 (47 points).

Atlético Málaga drew 1-1 with CFF Cáceres over the weekend. The locals maintained a good level of pressure in midfield, not permitting the Blue and Whites to play a fluid game. Just before half-time Laura took a penalty for the ‘Malaguistas’, however the local keeper stopped them taking the lead. Following a similar style of play in the second half, Pamela scored for Atlético Málaga in minute 85’, taking advantage of some confusion with the local defence. Just two minutes later, the referee awarded a penalty to CFF Cáceres who didn’t pass up on the chance to equalise. Shared points for the two girls’ teams, with the Blue and Whites maintaining fourth place in Second Division Group 4 (31 points).
