Keidi loses out to Spain in the closing stages

Keidi Bare played with Albania against Spain in the U-21 category, in a qualifier held at Shkodër for the upcoming European Championship.

The Atlético Malagueño player, in the starting line-up wearing the number ‘8’ shirt, was captain of Albania and played for 90 minutes. Keidi multiplied in the wide area to contain the attempts by ‘La Rojita’, full of top-level players under the orders of Luis de la Fuente such as Oyarzabal, Fabián, Carlos Soler, Borja Mayoral and ex-Malaguista Fornals, amongst others.

Following numerous occasions during play, including three shots at goal, it was striker Rafa Mir (0-1, 84’) who tipped the balance in favour of the Spanish side in the final part of the second half.

Keidi’s Albania (knocked out) are in penultimate place in qualifying Group 2 ahead of the upcoming Under-21 European Championship, with 6 points from 9 games. Spain are leading the table with 24 points out of a possible 27.
