Kameni: “We’ll continue with our head held high”

Following the Málaga-Betis match, Carlos Kameni analysed the game in the mixed zone at La Rosaleda. The Cameroonian international goalkeeper says: “We’ve now got a league break so will recharge our batteries and continue with our head held high.”

Negative result

“It was a shame, we went all out, really gave our all, generated chances but the ball just wasn’t going in.  The rival scored with a fortuitous move which led to us losing the match.  Adán performed very well as his team’s saviour, but football is like that.  We must not get disheartened as it’s a very long season.”

League break

“Losing like this hurts.  We played a match to win, yet we managed to concede a goal.  We’ve now got a league break so will recharge our batteries and continue with our head held high.  We’re professionals and must stay strong.  By continuing to work hard as we have been doing, we’ll achieve our goals.”

Message of unity

“I would like to convey, as a professional, that fans continue to support the team.  They are playing the match with us, and they must continue to do so and not let up.  We’re all in this together, the fans and the team go hand in hand.”
