“The feelings were good, these games are always handy to get confidence and enjoy a bit of football.  I’m content and happy as I’ve never scored with the first team.  The fans must be thanked as they’ve been amazing, so thanks to everyone.  It’s good to have a broad team, the League is long and we must all contribute our grain of sand.  I’m feeling pretty good and playing alongside players such as Joaquín and Diego Buonanotte is a plus.  I’m almost certain that Maresca’s goal went it. We all have to get used to changes; today we played without a ‘9’, but why not try things like this in such games?  I’m happy with what I’m doing in the training and then it’s for the coach to decide.”

Kameni
“A little strange, it’s been ages since I played a match.  I’m working with the group and I’m quickly getting the pace.  You don’t lose much in so little time, it’s just about adaptation and that’s it.  Very good, the way they welcomed me was brilliant, and I feel as though I’ve been playing here for years.  It’s a club that wants to grow and aspires to many things and I’m happy to help this club reach its objectives.  I’ve felt that they love me and it’s important to feel good, I will try and give my all to return the love of the fans.  My objective is to play and help out the team, I have a great teammate in Willy but I’m a fighter and I’ll continue to be so.  It’s important to work hard every day and maintain a high level of competition.  He’s a great goalkeeper, and he hasn’t got to that level by coincidence; but the important thing is to see him as a person and he’s a 10 out of 10, and we have a great working relationship.”

(Emenike).  “I didn’t know him, he’s strong, powerful, a great forward.  Yellow?  I don’t mind, I just want to play, colours don’t mean anything.  The important things are to be healthy and to play well.  San Mamés?  It’s the ‘cathedral’, you’ve always got to go out all guns blazing, if not they kill you.  Bilesa’s doing a great job, but we’ve got to go out for the three points.   If we want to reach our objectives we have to win away.  We go out strong at home so we know how to do it but we still need to start winning away to put our minds at ease.”

Valery Karpin
An interesting game for us.  Facing Málaga was interesting and we walk away with many conclusions.  I’ve seen one BBVA League match and, personally, I liked Málaga, they’ve spent a lot of money, have high-quality players, and I like Pellgrini’s kind of football.”
