The fact that Carlos Kameni ignites passions wherever he goes is nothing new, and this Wednesday in Fuengirola, the Málaga CF fans’ special affection for the keeper was palpable. Kameni received a very warm welcome and was greeted by applause on his arrival at the official store.
“These events are very important to us. Fans see us from afar and always support us. Being close to them is important so we feel what the fans have to say,” says the keeper during the signing.
The queue for Kameni’s autograph reached along Calle España. Children, teenagers, dads, mums, grandparents, everyone wanted a photo with one of the team’s icons.
“Spending time with the fans is always good for players, the Club and the supporters themselves. Human contact is important. I’ve had a great time. We need to do these types of events regularly, so this closeness with the fans is consistent,” adds the Blue and Whites’ goalkeeper.
After nearly an hour and a half, with all the fans taking away their souvenirs, Kameni left the official store. Another warm welcome, as well as an award, awaited him at the Peña Malaguista de Fuengirola.
