Five Blue and White players yesterday undertook international duties with their national squads in the qualifiers for the Russia World Cup 2018. Mikel and Juanpi took part on the Uruguay-Venezuela (3-0, Lodeiro y Cavani 2). The defender played all 90 minutes and the midfielder notched up 66 minutes. In addition to this, Fede Ricca was on the bench for the Uruguayans and Roberto Rosales for the Venzuelans.
Elsewhere, Denys Boyko was a veteran back-up in the Turkey-Ukraine (2-2) match which was the second draw for the Ukranians in Group I in the European qualifiers for the Russian World Cup.
Tomorrow, Saturday 9 October, it will be the turn of the Africans Youseef-En Nesyri and Bakary Koné, with Morrocco and Burkina Faso respectively.
