Juanmi, who scored against Athletic, talks about his Monday night goal. “It’s always good to score, but it didn’t help us in the end.  We were in control of the match during the first half, but Athletic took the reins in the second half and claimed the three points.”
 
The reserve team player is confident the Blue and Whites will return to winning ways and change the current dynamic: “We’re concentrating on victory against Villarreal and turning this situation around.  We need to be more together than ever before, and all pull in the same direction to start winning games.  We’ve all talked about the situation and are determined to win Friday’s ‘final’.”
 
Juanmi knows the importance of the fans’ support during these difficult times: “All the players are feeling positive and we have faith that we can move forward and get out of this hole, although we understand that the fans aren’t too happy.  It’s crucial that the fans, coach and team are all united in order to move forward from this.  We need to stay strong and all focus on our common goals.”
