(European Championship) "It’s another title for us, another European Championship.  It was amazing being a part of it, to enjoy the victory with my team mates.  Now I’m completely focused on the Club, really excited to start work and find a place on the team.”

(Lifting the trophy as team captain) "I was very proud as captain to lift the trophy, it was a real privilege.  I guess it’s something you don’t do every often in your life, so I was so happy.”

(Tour of Venezuela) "It’s a very eventful summer, and playing football and being with the rest of team is always great!  We’ve got Venezuela coming up, and then Italy; my batteries are fully charged and I’m raring to go.  I really want to show the coach that he can rely on me, and I’m ready for whenever he needs me.  Seeing Málaga represented all over the world is brilliant.  The important thing now is to be as prepared as possible for the Champions play-off and the start of the League.”

(Fitness) “I’m in good shape, having just completed the pre-season with the national team.  Málaga has covered nearly half the pre-season and I think the team is doing really well.  Personally, I’m feeling great and the session this morning was good.”

(Next season) "I hope to work as hard as I can every day, perform well, and be ready for whenever the coach might need me.  I want to make the most of every chance I get.”
