Juanmi, at the presentation of the Coca Cola Cup

Málaga Club de Fútbol player, Juan Miguel Jiménez ‘Juanmi’, accompanied by the Consultant Advisor, Francisco Martín Aguilar, attended the presentation of the 10th Coca Cola Cup, which took place at La Rosaleda this afternoon.

In the presentation, in addition to Juanmi and Martín Aguilar – who were “appreciative that Málaga had been chosen to host the presentation and hoping that one of Málaga’s teams makes the final” – were joined by Eduardo Martinez, the head of external relations for Rendelsur-Coca Cola in Málaga; Damián Caneda, from the Málaga City Hall; and Antonio Jesús López Nieto, from the provincial government.

Over the last decade, some 150,000 children have participated in the Coca Cola Cup, a national competition for clubs, schools and federated colleges, which has become a showcase for big things.  The Cup consists of three phases, with 26 bases and 34 training campuses.   A total of 9,660 teams all over Spain and around 22,000 players will play in 4,000 matches.  The Cup final will take place in San Mamés, Bilbao, in June 2012.
