The Malaguista central defender spoke to MCFTV following the medical examinations on the first day of the pre-season. “The holidays allowed me to gain strength to affront the season in the best way possible”, he said.
Holidays
“They’ve been great, I relaxed and disconnected a little at home with the family. The holidays allowed me to gain strength to affront the season in the best way possible”.
Excited
“I’m full of enthusiasm, as always. I try to give my all in training sessions and matches, and this year will be no different”.
New faces
“I coincided with Javi Jiménez in the odd training session, but I was in the lower categories. We can’t wait for the new players to help the team as much as possible, they look great teammates and very good players. I’m so happy that there are lots of people with that desire and willingness to help”.
Return of the fans
“I can’t wait. I’ve only had the opportunity to play in front of the fans at La Rosaleda once. This past year has been tough as we haven’t had the physical support of the fans. We’ve felt their support from home, but it’s not the same as having them there in the stadium. Playing at home they’ll always support us and we’re going to return to them that trust they have in us”.
José Alberto López
“I saw him this morning and said hello. Tomorrow he’ll speak to all of us, and we are so keen to learn from him. I'm sure he does a great job with the whole team and I'm very happy to have him here”.
Union
“Last year you could see the team was as one, very united, and this year will be no different. I hope it will be the same or even better. The more experienced players and the younger ones are all so eager, and there’s a very strong bond between us all”.
Pre-season
“It’s exciting. We still don’t know how training will go, it’s all new. I can’t wait to start training, play matches and for the season to get underway, which we’ll affront in the best way possible”.
