José María Muñoz: “We need unity between now and the end of the season”

Málaga CF’s judicial administrator held a press conference this Wednesday afternoon to analyse the Club’s current situation: “Each day I’m more and more proud of the daily work carried out by the Club.”

The Blue and White administrator called on the media to offer a press conference at La Rosaleda. He started out with a brief introduction moments before answering questions from those present: “I’m holding this press conference as an interview has been requested many times. However, I couldn’t do it as I’m a judicial administrator, I’m not CEO or general manager and I see it as counterproductive,” he stated.

He didn’t want to miss the opportunity of conveying a message of “unity, that’s what we need between now and the end of the season. I’m working as I’ve done since day one, with absolute dedication,” he explained.

In addition, he wanted to “thank the Diputación de Málaga and Málaga City Hall, who have led the sponsorship. Also, the businesses ‘Playing at Home’, a pioneering initiative in Spain,” acknowledging the financial support provided by these companies being key to MCF’s future.

Subsequently, he talked about his satisfaction with the daily work undertaken within the Club: “We’re working in the short, medium and long-term. The CVC is forcing the clubs to become even more professional. Each day I’m more and more proud of the daily work carried out by the Club. This was shown in the spectacular Siempre Fuerte Awards gala.”

Lastly, he gave a “very special mention to Javier Imbroda, who sadly passed away last weekend. Personally, I knew him for over 40 years. It’s a tremendously sad loss.” In this way, the judicial administrator went on to answer the journalists’ questions.
