The two-time figure skating champion is in Málaga promoting his upcoming show and took the opportunity to meet the women’s team, where he enjoyed getting involved in a penalty shoot-out with the Malaguista squad.
The two-time world champion, six-time European champion and Olympic bronze medallist figure skater, Javier Fernández, has returned to Málaga to promote his next show taking place in the city, called ‘Revolution On Ice’.
On this occasion, the skating prodigy swapped his blades for football boots and challenged the Málaga CF Femenino squad to a fun penalty shoot-out, where they combined typical figure skating movements with the ball.
One by one, the Málaga CF women’s team players tried their luck between the sticks, after several turns on the ball or shooting from the penalty spot doing a pirouette. For his part, the figure skater challenged the Malaguista goalkeepers and dared to launch a number of penalties whilst performing various pirouettes.
Revolution on Ice
The ‘Revolution On Ice’ show will debut in Málaga on 17th November. The ice-skating spectacular will be held at Palacio de los Deportes José María Martín Carpena, featuring Olympic medallist Javier Fernández to wow the crowd.
