Javi Jiménez: “We appreciate the fans’ support”

The Malaguista left-back held a press conference after #MálagaAndorra: “I ask you to trust us, it’s about how it ends, not how it begins,” he said.

Left-back Javi Jiménez spoke to the media after the game and started out by talking about the great atmosphere at La Rosaleda. “In the situation we’re in, we appreciate the fans’ support. We ask them to trust us, we’re doing all we can to win the three points. Sometimes things don't work out, but the team is working exceptionally well. I ask you to trust us, it’s about how it ends, not how it begins,” he stated.

The team is determined to make the fans happy: “We want to win. It’s not anxiety. This can increase the nerves which won’t help the situation. We’re trying to channel this determination properly. This is the second match where we’ve not conceded a goal, so we must focus on the positives to get out of this situation,” he said when asked about the mood in the dressing room.

“The good thing is we have a match on Wednesday in Leganés. The team is performing well, we’ll go out there to win so we can talk about other things,” he said in reference to the upcoming midweek match.

We have to keep working hard to get the results: “We’ll try to make as few mistakes as possible to be closer to victory. Our determination can lead to indecision, we’re so desperate to please the fans and we’ll do everything we can to do that,” he concluded.
