The ‘Malaguista’ coach confirms the players must have “confidence in their work, confidence in what they are and what they can do, as this will help us to achieve good results.  We also need a bit of luck to help us stay on track or to open up the match, so the conditions are right to demonstrate all the team’s hard work.”

“Matches against Villarreal are always demanding and very difficult.  They have a strong, guaranteed squad to enable rotations in the competitions they’re involved in.  They tend to focus on a vertical style of play, so we must ensure we’re prepared from a defensive point of view, as well as try and overcome the rival’s defence - two lines of four, with two strikers, well defined – making them one of the best teams in the category.”

With regards to the ‘Malaguista’ strikers, the coach adds: “I think they’re performing extremely well.  Today they scored various goals and I’m confident that tomorrow they’ll be capable of doing the same.”

“It’s a positive thing to have the option to gain points and win games, as we haven’t managed it up to now.  We know that the schedule is tight, with little time between matches, so the sooner we generate opportunities the better.  We must focus on the next game at our home ground against Villarreal, and try and achieve what we haven’t been capable of doing yet.”
