Javi Gracia: “We’ll give everything we’ve got in this match”
Málaga CF coach, Javi Gracia analyses the 11th BBVA League game of the season against SD Eibar, kicking off tomorrow, Saturday 8th November at 10 p.m. at La Rosaleda.
Javi Gracia has high praise for the rival, SD Eibar: “They have good height, accuracy, they work well from set pieces, whether it be a corner, free kick or throw-in…They have many variables so we need to remain focused, balanced and well organised to defend against so many options. SD Eibar knows how to attack, generate goal opportunities and successfully dominate set pieces. It’s going to be a more difficult game than we’ve faced recently.”
The coach has called-up all 21 available players for this match: “I think it’s appropriate to have as strong a squad available to us as possible for what will be a tough game. Every player who is match-fit has been called-up, as I want to convey how much we need to win, show we’re capable and perform well against SD Eibar. I’m confident there’ll be another full house at La Rosaleda and an incredible atmosphere, so if there’s a difficult moment for us during play, the fans will really get behind the team.”
There are three injured Málaga CF players who haven’t been selected for tomorrow night’s line-up; Antunes, Rosales and Sergio Sánchez: “All three have been playing well, all in the same position, which is why the team formation is different in their absence. However I have every faith in the players who will be out on the pitch tomorrow.”
Gracia doesn’t believe four consecutive wins has led to complacency on the team: “I prefer to work following victories rather than defeats. My philosophy of work has no time for relaxation, but being as active as possible and becoming stronger as we move forward. I’m feeling confident, as is the team. The players are aware of how hard-going tomorrow’s match will be, and they will give it their all on the pitch.”
