Javi Gracia: “We want to give our fans a great game”

Málaga Club de Fútbol coach, Javi Gracia held a press conference in the Juan Cortés press room this morning to analyse the final match of the season against Sevilla Fútbol Club: “We want to give our fans a great game and end the season well.”

Javi Gracia talks about the team’s desire to reach the last match of the season: “It’s our final game and we’re looking forward to playing well and seeing if it’s possible to regain the position we’ve maintained for the majority of the year.  In order to do that we must win tomorrow.  We want to give our fans a great game and end the season well.  We’ll then see what happens with the other results.”

Gracia warns of Sevilla FC’s potential: “I don’t believe Sevilla FC will come here with any reservations.  I don’t think that just because they have an important match they’ll be any more relaxed.  They are always competitive and one of their advantages is they have more continuity, so will be feeling differently to us.  They are a quality side and generate possibilities which they always make the most of.  Sevilla are hard-working and know what they’re doing.  They use each individual strength to the whole team’s advantage.”

After making an important effort, the Navarran-born coach believes his team are looking ahead to tomorrow with a strong determination to win the last game of the season at La Rosaleda: “We’re all very tired at this point in the competition.  The players have made an incredible effort.  The second round has been a real struggle for us, luck hasn’t been on our side in this final stretch of the season, however we’re focused on one last push tomorrow and are ready for this game in the best possible conditions.”
