Javi Gracia begins by talking about his regret following today’s draw: “It’s a missed opportunity and a big step backwards in our hopes to qualify for Europe. We’ll see what happens in our upcoming games, but if we continue to play like this it’ll be impossible to reach 6th place. I’m a realist, or at least I try to be and I’m not trying to fool anyone. Today I feel like we lost numerous chances to reach 6th place.”
The Navarran-born manager analyses the match: “Anything could have happened in today’s game. We could have won or we could have lost, so a draw was a fair result. We’re not performing at the same level as we did in the first round in many respects. Our rivals have also got an uphill struggle and everyone is competing at the same level until the end of the season.”
Lastly, Gracia talks about the physical aspect of the team: “The physical state of the team always comes into question when we don’t win, but it is a factor.”
