A complicated match
“It was a complicated match in the sense of how it happened. They scored an early goal. We went out there to play our game, make the most of our opportunities, yet they arrived on their first occasion and took the lead. Subsequently, without any pressure, the second goal they converted from the penalty spot weakened us somewhat and we conceded the third when we went all out on the attack. We’re hurt by this result but cannot dwell on it. From tomorrow we’ll start work on the next one”.
Difficulty of the category
“We know how hard this category is. Those of us there on the pitch can see it costs a lot to claim points on every matchday. We have to assess where we are, we’re there on our own merit, and evaluate every point we score. It’s clear we must return to winning ways, this week we’ve got a tough match. We’ve got to come back from this and try to return to scoring the three points”.
Learning from mistakes
“It’s no use beating ourselves up or focusing on the past. We need to learn from the mistakes, fix what we need to fix and, above all, concentrate on what’s coming up this week, which is already upon us, a new challenge. We’re going to a very difficult ground, but we’re determined to win the three points and do the best we can”.
