Yesterday’s match at La Rosaleda marked a new edition of the MCF Foundation’s ‘Solidarity Match’, which had a large presence of Málaga CF fans linked to social groups in the city.
A special day for around 4,000 fans who populated the stands of Martiricos from a large number of social groups in the province (over 70), in an initiative promoted by the Club’s Foundation for another year.
Sebastián Fernández Reyes, ‘Basti’, is the visible face of the social department of the Entity. “It’s an important day, in which we try to ensure that all the foundations in Málaga, some 70 groups, have the possibility to watch Málaga. Our mission is to help all foundations, for them to all come to La Rosaleda together, that is amazing for us”, he said to the official MCF media”.
Isabel Vega (ASPAYM Málaga) also spoke to MCFTV: “Thank to this initiative by Málaga we can have fully inclusive matches where people with disabilities can enjoy the games with family and friends. We applaud the Foundation for this type of action and hopefully it can be repeated”.
The solidarity initiative was a complete success, with nearly 4,000 kilos of foodstuffs collected for soup kitchens in Málaga and the province.
