Statements
(Rejoining the team) “I really want to get back in the team, despite everything that’s going on, and get to work. It’s very different to last year, but we’re all raring to go, and looking forward to seeing who we’ll face in the Champions play-off in tomorrow’s draw.”
(Situation surrounding the Club) “We’re all aware of how difficult the situation is, but we’re all trying to be as professional as possible, focus on the job we need to do and hope everything gets sorted out. We haven’t been told very much, but right now we’re concentrating on the Champions play-off, and the Costa del Sol Cup match against Everton.”
(Immediate future) “I would love to stay here at Málaga, to help the team as much as I can. I’ve never thought about leaving. My intention is to stay here until the Club decides otherwise.”
(Responsibility) “The responsibility lies with the whole team, to keep growing and improving as players, and giving everything to Málaga.”
(Rivals in the Champions League draw) “All of the teams we could face will be tough to beat. We’ll need to play excellent football to win, and make sure we’re all fully motivated for the match.”
(Costa del Sol Cup) “We need the fans’ love and support more than ever. The atmosphere at La Rosaleda will be electric!”
(Olympic Games) “It was an amazing experience being a part of the Games. It’s a memory I’ll cherish forever.”
