The Malaguista Peñas in Torrox and San Pedro organised, along with the Federation of Málaga CF Peñas, the III Malaguista Event. Over 200 people attended, amongst them were a large number of fans who don’t belong to peñas, who enjoyed the weekend in Estepona.
The celebration kicked off on Friday afternoon and lasted until around midday on Sunday at the hotel Iberostar Costa del Sol. On Saturday morning, the main day within the event, a beach football tournament took place, in which seven peñas were involved who made up mixed teams. After lunch, a roundtable discussion was held in the hotel’s boardroom, the main theme of which was Malaguista fans, with representatives from Frente Bokerón, Malaka Hincha, the Peñas Federation and the organising supporters’ clubs. Also in attendance as speakers were Sebastián Fernández Reyes, ‘Basti, former Malaga player and member of the Blue and Whites’ Social Department, and Juan José Almagro, former Malaguista player and member of the peña in his birth place of San Pedro.
After the event, all the fans watched the Atlético de Madrid – Málaga CF match together, held at the Vicente Calderón. Then following dinner, they all enjoyed a Malaguista-themed party to bring an end to a weekend where a great atmosphere of Malaguismo reigned.
