The competition, organised by Real Club Mediterráneo and the Andalucían Sailing Association, by delegation of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía, (international snipe class) was won by the Álvaro Martínez and Gabriel Utrera partnership, with two partial victories and 2 points in the general final. Antolín Alejandre and Marta Hernández (Club de Mar Almería) came in second place.
“We were fighting to catch up to the first two, but in the end it wasn’t possible”, commented José María Guerrero, Blue and Whites’ sailor, along with Alejandro Fernández, at the end of the penultimate day last Saturday. A notable third place on the podium for the Malaguista team, in His Majesty’s ‘El Rey-74’ Winter Regatta, the oldest light sailing competition in Spain.
