Firstly, Iakovenko talks about how he’s adapted to the team: “I hope I’ll get the chance to play more; there are still two games left this season and I really want to be a part of them.  With regards to the team, I’m confident we can win at least another match.  Every member of the squad needs to play, and I’m no exception.  Look at Amrabat; he’s shown he’s a great player, but I’ve not had as many opportunities to show what I can do.  I’m very positive about the future and certainly don’t regret coming here.  It’s been a great experience for me, and I’m very happy with the team and being in Málaga.”
 
The Ukrainian-born player knows how difficult Sunday’s game at the Vicente Calderón will be: “I really hope it’ll be a fantastic match and interesting to watch for the fans.  I’m really looking forward to it, as when you win, then everyone speaks highly of you.  Sunday’s match won’t be easy, but we are capable of winning.”
 
Looking to his future, Iakovenko hopes it will be decided shortly: “With regards to me staying with Málaga CF that is a decision that will be made later, at the end of the League competition.  We’ve been in talks, but a decision will be reached at the end of the season.”
