“I hope to find a Málaga at its best”

Blue and Whites’ coach, Juan Ramón Muñiz attended to the media at La Rosaleda in the run-up to #MálagaRayoMajadahonda. “We need to read the games well and compete from the outset”, he said.

Even category

“I think that this category always requires you to take each rival into account, as there are no favourites in matches in this division, and any team can defeat anyone. When the match starts you have to do your job in the best way possible as equality amongst opponents is at a maximum. Everyone participating in this division knows how tough it is, and we need to prepare for the games as if each one was the last. There are three points at stake and we’ll try our best to keep them at home in front of our fans”.

His team and the rival

“I hope to find a Málaga at its best. A Málaga that is very clear about the situations during play, who knows how to read them and how to adapt to these situations. Logically we have to prepare for the match and worry about the rival, but above all we need to focus on ourselves, doing things as well as we can, performing at our best level, individually and as a team. And from there, compete. The rival will do their job and approach the game in the way they think best, but we cannot rely on the opponent as we don’t know what they’re going to do or how they’ll play. We need to read the games well and compete from the outset until the final whistle”.

Malaguista fans

“There’s going to be a great atmosphere, this is La Rosaleda, this is Málaga, and the atmosphere is always good. They know we need them, and we’ll do everything possible to ensure things go smoothly and all the fans at the stadium enjoy watching their team. We have to be an example of how to support the team, and in what way, and leave the rival to cheer on their team. The Málaga fans have always done this, and we know they’ll be there supporting us as they know the team needs them”.
