Following the last match of the BBVA League 2012/13 season against FC Barcelona on Saturday, the Blue and Whites are now enjoying a well-deserved holiday. A date for the return to training hasn’t been confirmed as yet.
After finishing in sixth place in the BBVA League, reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, Málaga CF has lived the most successful season in the Club’s history.
Holidays with national teams
Not every player is enjoying time off just yet, with five ‘Malaguistas’ currently, or soon joining their national teams over the next few days. Isco and Camacho are with Spain’s under-21’s in Israel for the European Championships kicking off on 5th June.
Roque Santa Cruz is part of Paraguay’s line-up for the Brazil World Cup qualifier against Chile on 7th June. Málaga CF central defender Diego Lugano is playing for Uruguay in a World Cup qualifying match against Venezuela on 11th June, and will later take part in the FIFA Confederations Cup from 15th to 30th June.
Fabrice was part of Cameroon’s line-up in yesterday’s 0-0 draw in a friendly against Ukraine, and will remain with his national team until 17th June.
