Options to equalise

“It was a match against a very strong rival, in which we faced many difficulties to generate goal opportunities.  They started off far more successful than us, whilst we had the clearest chance to equalise thanks to Cop.  In the second half, with a great deal of heart but with little clarity, we tried to equalise the game but it just wasn’t possible.”

“I don’t like to resort to the subject of attitude, there is always attitude.  During the first minutes of play we didn’t show our ambition, we were a bit too far behind and being dominated by the rival.  I keep saying that despite a fight to the end we didn’t generate many clear opportunities.  We could have equalised, as they were only a goal up, but it’s also true that when the rival came forth on the counter attack they were a dangerous side.”
