Genaro’s surgery was carried out yesterday afternoon/evening by Doctor Manuel Leyes at Clínica CEMTRO in the Spanish capital.
A meniscectomy was performed to remove the part that was torn from Genaro's meniscus. He is now resting in the Madrid clinic (post op).
If the player’s recovery is satisfactory – pending evolution - this type of surgical technique typically has an estimated recovery time of around two months.
