“I’d like to give a special mention to the workers and players involved in the ERE, who until the last day gave their all. The market chronology was pretty tough due to the timings, COVID, the end of the season and the ERE. Communication was excellent, we did our job with surgical precision and achieved what we wanted to achieve in a satisfactory way”.
Elements going against us
“We didn’t have any economic power, no financial muscle to make a team. The image was badly damaged, it was very hard to convince the representation agencies. COVID put us on an even keel with the other teams, we played with our fans and were full of enthusiasm in negotiations”.
Teamwork
“We managed to make a fairly balanced team with lots of alternatives. We must thank Pellicer and his team, as the preseason was incredibly difficult. I thank my people, all the staff at the Club; the Finance department, Communication department and Legal department for everything they’ve done, and I would like to make a special mention to José María”.
The sentimental factor was crucial
“People like Málaga CF as we have history. That’s what upsets me now, that we can’t fill the stadium and see the fans. The players know that Málaga CF is a great Club, a Club that is managed well, which people value greatly. They want to come somewhere that is serious and straight talking, with no lies”.
