Gala presentation for the Málaga Genuine stars

Provincial government’s Edgar Neville Auditorium hosted the presentation of the squad from the ‘Escuela de Fútbol de Discapacidad Intelectual’ (EDI) with more than 350 people in attendance.

The Málaga Genuine squad, consisting of 16 authentic stars, deserved a presentation worthy of its category. As such, the Edgar Neville Auditorium, loaned out to the MCF Foundation by provincial government - an entity that supports the EDI - hosted this gala presentation of the 16 members of the Málaga Genuine squad.

The stage was converted into an improvised pitch including a dugout, where one by one, the stars of the team passed through and were presented with all the luxury of honours. Member of the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández ‘Basti’ and Málaga journalist, Carlos Pariente were in charge of hosting the event, with some 350 guests in attendance.

Present for the occasion - which highlighted the importance of giving an opportunity to everyone who experiences difficulties, and where the values of solidarity, strength, commitment, equality and integration were conveyed – were Málaga CF’s vice president, Nasser Al Thani, CEO of the MCF Academy, Hamyan Al Thani, and board member, Rakan Al Thani.

In addition, Club advisers Francisco Martín Aguilar and Abdullah Ben Barek were present, along with Francisco Salado, first vice president of the Diputación de Málaga; Amador Carmona, Business Director at CaixaBank; and Francisco Pérez, owners of Vipesa and principal sponsor of the Genuine squad.

Málaga CF’s first team was represented by Andrés Prieto, Miguel Torres and Renato Santos. Joining them, representing Málaga CF Femenino, were Antonio Contreras, Adriana Martín and Chelsea Ashurst.

From now on, the stars of Málaga Genuine; Miguel Ángel, Alejandro, Antonio, Cristian, Carlos, Jorge, Carlos García, Javier, Silvia, Óscar, Tamara, José Carlos, Jennifer, Pablo, Carlos Fernández and Cristobal will proudly defend the Blur and White colours, and will be ready to do so thanks to the physical preparations from Rubén Cortés and Miguel Ángel Espinosa. They will be looked after by José Luis Carballeda and coordinator, Cristina Caro. All under the orders of team coach, Fernando González.
