Jokin believes that “the sensations are good,” yet there are still things to correct as “we’re seeing many positives. One of them is the defence, the whole team is committed, and we’re not conceding much. This is allowing us to avoid defeat and, many times, win,” he explained.
Regarding his role today, in which he played a more defensive role, the full-back stated that “every game is different. Sometimes you have to defend more, other times attack. I consider myself an attacking winger, but today I had to defend more, and I think I've adapted well. Then it was time to go deeper and attack. The moments of matches define the role of each player. Today I had to be a little more defensive and I tried to do my best,” he commented.
The team is a combination of youth and experience. Jokin explained his vision of his role in the dressing room: “There are important players in the dressing room, who have played more games than me. When I'm with the younger ones, I try to guide them with the experience I've been able to gain, and when I'm with the older ones, I try to absorb everything they tell me. In the end, we’re a group that gets along very well and there is a very good dynamic between us.”
The game, which represents the fifth friendly of the pre-season, was very intense and maintained a high pace for the majority of play. “During training there is a lot of intensity, and it allows us to get to the matches and keep up with the intensity level throughout. I think that physically we’re doing well. We still have a few things to improve for the start of the season which is what we’re trying to do,” he added.
Finally, Jokin highlighted his confidence in the team’s work and the possibilities for the season, which begins at the end of August. “We have a very good team. Whoever else may arrive may bring something more, but we are fully prepared for the start of the league and to face a good season,” he concluded.
