Pellicer: We have to improve things, which is good for us

The Blue and White coach analysed the triangular tournament played yesterday against Antequera CF and UD Melilla in which MCF finished second: “The attitude of the lads is commendable,” he commented.

Sergio Pellicer spoke to the media on the pitch in El Maulí: “We wanted to try various positions against Melilla. Against Antequera I think we played 20-30 top-level minutes, but in the end the game we lost was our best. These situations are very useful for us to show how we have to be consistent and that we are 10 days away. In addition, we’ve not had any injuries,” he started out by saying.

“We’ll have time to analyse everything once it’s over. When the season starts, which gets underway in Castellón, we have to be prepared. When the transfer window closes, we’ll know the tools we have. The attitude of the lads is commendable. We have to improve things, which is good for us,” explained the coach in reference to the final stretch of the pre-season.

The squad is a balanced one: “For me the most important thing is that there is competitiveness within the team. I don't care if he's a homegrown player, a new signing... they’re going to work hard each day. We have to be a team, the collective feeling is what we have to convey from humility, honesty and hunger,” he added.

A debt to the fans: “We know how demanding Málaga is. Season ticket holder numbers are rising and we are indebted to them. We have to convey to our people everything they give us,” he said.
