‘Formación MCF’, another step forward for the Foundation

Málaga CF, via its Foundation, introduces its first specialised course in Sports Management and Scouting, aimed at training and developing the skills required to be a football sports director.

The Málaga CF Foundation continues to grow and opens up a new area related to sports training, whose main objective is to promote and develop activities at La Rosaleda’s facilities with courses that bring the professional reality of sport, particularly football, ever closer.

As such, the first course by ‘Formación MCF’ is the specialised course in Sports Management and Scouting. At the end of May (28th and 30th) and during the month of June (4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th and 20th) a total of eight face-to-face sessions will be held between 16:00 - 20:30.

The course subjects are the following:

    • Organisational structure of a football club
    • Functions and skills of a Sports Director
    • The Sports Director in grassroots football
    • Sports Director relations
    • Communication, Marketing and Public Relations
    • Scouting and Analysis
    • New applied technologies

Registration for the course, the deadline of which is on 23rd May (23:59) is carried out online (www.malagacf.com/fundacion/formacion). Places (50) are limited, by order of registration, and you must be over 16 years of age to be admitted. The registration fee for students is €300 for MCF season ticket holders and €350 for general students.

Among the speakers will be Rafa Gil (Director of the MCF Academy); Blue and White technical secretaries and scouting, Manolo Gaspar, Martín Viberti and Francisco Capote; first team analyst José Antonio Caparrós ‘Capa’; Raúl Iznata, Atlético Malagueño delegate; and Antonio Utrera, deputy director of the MCF School, amongst others.

This will be the first of the actions to be undertaken by the Málaga CF Foundation within its area of Training, with a focus on continuity as in autumn official courses for football coaches (level 1, 2 and 3) will be held.
