Pepe Mel’s men returned to training on this Three Kings Day morning, the last session before the upcoming LaLiga SmarBank matchday 22 fixture (Saturday 7th January, 18:30, La Rosaleda).
Following yesterday’s open-door session with 5,000 fans in the stands, today MCF focused on tactical aspects of play behind closed doors.
Pepe Mel’s team worked on La Rosaleda’s main pitch, concentrating on different match situations. Outside the group was injured Ramón (right adductor) who is striving to return as soon as possible, undergoing recovery training. Lumor, awaiting to resolve his bureaucratic issues, remains absent. Meanwhile, Adrián, Moussa, Víctor Olmo and Haitam are progressing with their respective recoveries.
Tomorrow, Saturday at 18:30, Málaga CF will face CD Tenerife in the first duel of 2023, kicking off the second round of LaLiga SmartBank.
