Everything ready to return to work

The Málaga CF first team will resume training, in principle and as long as government guidelines and health criteria are met, this Saturday 9th May at La Rosaleda.

The countdown is on to returning to the pitch at La Rosaleda. Following the indications of the prevention protocol guidelines, and once the results of the medical tests are known, if everything is correct and within Government and Ministry of Health parameters, Málaga CF will resume the first training sessions this Saturday.

Training will be undertaken, as set out within the protocol, individually, maintaining the safety distance between the players and adhering to strict safety measures. This is to ensure correct compliance with the regulations and protect the health of all the players, coaching team and staff.

The sessions will take place on the main pitch at La Rosaleda as well as at the Annexe. The work will be undertaken in two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The players will be divided into two groups and be assigned to a pitch to carry out the training sessions.

Statements to MCFTV

Keidi Bare

“It’s been nearly two months since I’ve been to La Rosaleda and I’m thrilled to be here. I can’t wait to get back on the pitch”.

Munir

“I really want to get back on the field of play, put my boots and gloves on and feel like a footballer. I’m looking forward to enjoying the pitch and the ball, everything that makes me happy”.

Pacheco

“We’ve all done all we can, depending on the space available at home. We got to use the bike, which helped a great deal during this time, but now we can run and do more things. We’ll try to ensure we’re ready as quickly as possible”.

Adrián

“Individual training, maintaining the safety distance, not having any contact between us. It will be similar to what we’ve been doing at home, but more comprehensive as we’ll have more space to use the ball and run long distances. We cannot wait to get started, even if it is individually”.
