The Blue and Whites returned to training under strict safety measures. From first thing this morning, La Rosaleda hosted the first day of individual training, which will continue into the afternoon.
At 08:30 this morning, the stadium doors opened to make way for a new normal. A highly atypical situation, but one desired by everyone. After more than 50 days, the players stepped back on to the Malaguista pitch.
The first individual training session was carried out exactly as the protocol requires and in compliance with each and every guideline. The players trained at La Rosaleda in turns, with a 15-minute difference between them. Both on the main pitch and at the Annexe, the players trained individually, with no more than six players on each pitch and with over a four-metre distance between them.
The session involved individual training with the ball, continuous running as well as using elements such as pikes and cones, correctly placed and thoroughly disinfected.
It appeared as though the Málaga CF players had spent a lot of time preparing for this type of training. Wearing gloves, they trained in strict compliance with the protocols, protecting themselves and those on the pitch.
The day, most unusual yet historic and exciting, will continue until approximately 21:00, when the last player will leave the stadium. Twelve hours of training sessions, highly anticipated by everyone.
