Esteban Rodrigo Burgos (9/1/1992, Salta-Argentina) is a strong and forceful central defender who combines strength, good placement, hierarchy and grit. His great size makes him practically insurmountable from the air and a robust attacking resource in set pieces.
Burgos was trained in the youth ranks of Gimnasia y Tiro in his native Salta. He passed through Talleres, Godoy Cruz and Rosario Central before arriving in Spain in the 17/18 season, where he joined the ranks of AD Alcorcón.
He became a fundamental player on the ‘Alfarero’ squad, playing 63 games in two seasons. His great role made SD Eibar, a club that played in the First Division, take over his services in the 19/20 season.
After three seasons with the ‘Armero’ team, he arrives in Malaga to join the 22/23 project. The defender has signed a two-year agreement, so he will remain in the Blue and White discipline until 23/24.
