Escassi comes home

The homegrown Malagueño and Malaguista returns to the Club that saw him grow up and hone his skills in defence. He arrives at the Club on a free transfer from CD Numancia until 2023.

Alberto Escassi Oliva, born on 28/02/1989 in the Málaga neighbourhood of El Palo, has extensive experience in LaLiga SmartBank. His versatility allows him to develop his game both in the central axis and in the pivot of midfield. Skilful, forceful, with skill and arrival, he scored seven goals with Numancia last season.

He debuted in the category in the 11/12 season with Hércules CF, and since then has played 255 matches in the Second Division with Clubs such as AD Alcorcón, UE Llagostera and CD Numancia, where he has spent the past four seasons.

Escassi, who never concealed his sentimental link to Málaga CF, trained within the Blue and White youth ranks. The El Palo-born player arrived at the Club in 2001/02 in the Infantil B category from UD La Mosca. There he developed his career until his departure in the Juvenil category.

Today, after more than a decade, he returns to wear the Blue and White shirt from his childhood. Welcome back to your forever home, Alberto.
